When to use wallpaper and decorating your fireplace for Christmas
Should you use wallpaper?

Hi Interior’s Enthusiast!,
Happy Saturday! How has the start of December been for you? I know this month feels so crazy, but hopefully you’re enjoying some Christmas tunes and you don’t feel too overwhelmed by what’s to come!
This week I just have a couple of things to share. Firstly, some tips on being brave with wallpaper.
Consider Wallpaper as an Alternative to Paint: Wallpaper can suit a variety of styles and palettes, not just bold, maximalist designs. It’s a versatile option worth exploring, especially for spaces where you might otherwise default to paint.
Creative Application Ideas: Instead of covering entire rooms, consider unique uses like wallpapering the ceiling or combining it with paneling. Avoid single feature walls, as they narrow the eye and make the room feel much smaller.
Recommendations for Wallpaper Options: Affordable choices are available from brands like Laura Ashley and John Lewis, while premium options include Colefax and Fowler or boutique brands like Eloise Home for unique, beautiful prints.

Lighting! Lighting is always an important part of our homes and how we live in them. If you are already in your dream home or you are about to start building, look at your lighting. In your existing space you can create layers with lighting using lamps you already have, and place in a new position for the change of season - or if you are in your planning stage of the build, think about how you live in your space and what mood you want to create and how lighting can help you do that!
If you need help with that, you can book a power hour with me and we can virtually walk through your home together and create that the perfect lighting design for you! Otherwise, you can buy my layout guide to help you DIY.

You may have seen the first episode of my Christmas series came out this week. If you’re interested in decorating for Christmas check it out below. I had such a fun time filming it, I hope you enjoy a bit of twinkly chit chat!
