Preparing your home for spring with a few small changes

Hi Interior’s Enthusiast,
Happy Saturday!
If you are in the northern hemisphere, then you will be with me on this one…
There is still a distinct nip in the air, along with a few brave green buds peeking out on those very bare and barren trees around us, the snowdrops are out and daffodils nearly here…but with this comes the optimism of spring is just around the corner, with longer days full of light and (hopefully) warmth.
Now with this season change you can focus on maximising your natural light in your home and make the most of it by opening up curtains and blinds, letting the fresh, warm sunlight fill your space.
Consider freshening up your space with indoor plants or fresh floral arrangements, which are synonymous with spring. This not only brightens the space but also connects the indoors with the outdoors, creating a refreshing, airy atmosphere.
You could swap out some of your heavier fabrics such as velvet or wool with linens and cottons to prepare for Spring in full when it arrives. Perhaps consider some linen bedsheets or something with a bit of colour for added fun.
I would still keep the cosy blankets and throws at arm’s length for the evening as we are on the home stretch but not quite there yet… but almost!
For me, this time of year feels far more like a fresh start than January 1st. The sun starts to show its face more and the birds start chirping, not to mention the fact it’s still light at 5pm! For anyone in the southern hemisphere reading this, you must think we’re totally mad!
To help you add some colour, freshness and natural textures into your home, there’s a little spring edit below for you to shop from if you’re in the market for some new accessories and furniture.
1. Bedsheet Set, 2. Towel, 3. Yellow Table, 4. Vase, 5. Plant, 6. Bin, 7. Daybed, 8. Faux Ranunculus, 9. Seat Pad, 10. Swirl Lampshade, 11. Scallop Lampshade, 12. Napkins, 13. Blue Cushion, 14. Pink Cushion, 15. Blue Urn, 16. Shell Wall Light.

As you may have seen from my recent stories, I’m putting together a monthly membership for those of you who’d like a more cost effective means of discussing your projects with me and also gaining access to my trade discounts. If you’d like to be the first to find out about it when it launches, join the waiting list below.
This week I’ve been mostly catching up on work since I went on holiday. It’s funny how much we manage to fit in when in full work mode but the moment we stop it seems the inbox piles up beyond belief. It’s also been a week of lots of technical drawings for our Newbury project and colour hitting the walls in Windsor.
If you have an exciting project you’d like some help with, we’d love to hear from you!

Last week I posted a video on Instagram on wall lighting placement. You may find it useful if you’re in the midst of planning.
