Are you thinking about your Christmas table?

Christmas tablescape inspo

Hi Interior’s Enthusiast,

Happy Saturday! I hope you’re feeling festive and excited for the coming weeks. I know it’s a bit of a crazy time for many (myself included), so hopefully this weeks newsletter gives you a bit of light relief!

This week I want to give you a few quick tips on table styling for any festive occasion.

I’ll walk you through how I create a timeless Christmas tablescape - perfect for bringing elegance and warmth to your holiday celebrations. Here’s how I do it:

1. Start with a Versatile Tablecloth
For the base, I chose a striped tablecloth by Rebecca Udall. It’s amazing because it works beautifully for Christmas but is versatile enough to use throughout the year.

2. Add Layers with Placemats and Plates
To build texture, I used scalloped placemats also from Rebecca Udall and topped them with Sophie Conran for Portmeirion plates. I finished the look with matching Rebecca Udall napkins tied with green ribbon. This creates a lovely, layered effect that’s festive but not overdone.

3. Mix and Match Glassware
For the glassware, I shopped around my own home! I combined cut glass tumblers from Ravenhead with an assortment of wine glasses I already had. These wine glasses from The Hambledon are really lovely and well priced. They don’t all match, and that’s the charm - mixing and matching adds personality to the table.

4. Choose Classic Cutlery
When it comes to cutlery, I go for a traditional silhouette. Christmas feels like a formal time of year, and using something classic adds an elegant finishing touch to the setup.

I used the Viners Grand cutlery range for something very affordable but classic in style.

Remember, you don’t have to buy everything new. A little creativity and resourcefulness can transform your table into something truly special. It must also reflect your personality.

Stay tuned for Part 2 of my series, where I’ll share the finishing touches that pull the whole look together. I can’t wait to help you make your Christmas table unforgettable!
